Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Hookscore collects, why, and your choices. We aim to collect as little as possible.

What we collect

• The URL and goal you submit, and the resulting report, scores, and screenshots we capture of that public page.
• Your email address, only if you sign in (used to send a magic sign-in link and to deliver your reports).
• Payment information is handled entirely by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
• Basic technical data: a session cookie, an anonymous ID cookie, IP address (for rate-limiting and abuse prevention), and standard server logs.

How we use it

To run the audit you requested, deliver and store your reports, authenticate you, process payment, prevent abuse, and improve the Service using de-identified, aggregated data.

Who we share it with (sub-processors)

• Anthropic — the page's extracted text and screenshots are sent to Claude to generate the analysis.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Google — optional sign-in (Google OAuth) and site analytics (Google Analytics; see Cookies below).
• Cloudflare — storage of report screenshots (R2).
• Our hosting and email providers — to run the Service and send sign-in links.

We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising.

Cookies

We use essential first-party cookies: a signed session cookie when you sign in, and an anonymous ID cookie so an audit you run before signing in can be linked to your account.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, approximate location, device type). Google Analytics sets its own cookies and processes data under Google's privacy policy. We do not use advertising cookies, and we don't sell this data. You can block analytics cookies with your browser settings or an ad/tracker blocker without affecting the Service.

Data retention

We keep your reports and account for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion of your account and associated reports at any time.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (e.g. under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email us.
